And then there was Seattle. Ushered in by the colorful presidential campaign of 2008, Laura, Chip and I dedicated ourselves to creating a rally campaign event that tracked the politics of the election. Each team, representing one of the ten prominent presidential candidates, were unleashed on the streets of Seattle on a mission to win the election, most notably by placing a corded banner advertising their candidate around the unsuspecting necks of innocent passersby, some who were not of that candidate's political ilk. Imagine the Clinton team getting Romney die hards to parade with this sign on camera , in an attempt to persuade them to jump the party line! Teams were also required to find US states, from a puzzle to accumulate electoral votes. The rally ended at two adjoining mansions in Marysville, Washington, overlooking the Puget Sound. For me, this was a joy to plan with my two confederates.
