For almost two decades the subject of Greek mythology had escaped notice by rally planners. Aside from perhaps Shakespeare, no subject was more varied in its themes - whether it was Oedipal complexes, the journey of Odysseus from the Battle of Troy or the trials of Hercules. This time it took seven to accomplish the task: Laura and Chip, Jan and Ernie, Heidi and Charles, and Michael Stephens. The rally started from Berkeley and headed to a beach side home in Santa Cruz. Teams were led down a byzantine path through Oakland's Jack London Square, vintage clothing and shoe stores, and putt putt golf courses.
