Fayette Lake 2000
Ray and Rick teamed together again to create a theme based upon the Aesop's fable of the Tortoise and the Hare, with teams representing a variety of animals.
It wended its way through Texas country side in 110 degree heat to a set of cabins on La Fayette Lake, in view of a beautiful refinery. Those who did not swim in the murky depths of the lake took up staging cabin window theater, playing "Dave" ball
indoors or masquerading as Martians in
the moonlit night.

Co-Hosting
Choosing a compatible co-host can make the difference between a successful positive experience and an unmitigated disaster of hurt feelings, wounded egos, and unhappy teams. Ray and Rick managed to strike the perfect symbiotic relationship where duties were delegated and communication was open. It is imperative that clue sheets be written in a consistent fashion and that hosts are not proprietary about "their teams." It also helps to have logistics for the party in control of another person as the burdens of planting clues and throwing a shindig with food, alcohol and accommodations can be unwieldy. The consequences of infighting between hosts can be dire.
