Newcomers Tim Shively , Amy Levinson and Jay Herdman, having participated in several rallies in the 90's, took little time in volunteering to organize one in 1999. It began in in Redwood City and headed to the Northern California beach community of Pajaro Dunes. Tim's clever writing had teams pick up various items along the clue runs, whose relevance would become apparent with a bit of contemplation.
